My Scrapbooking Haul From Ace Hardware!

Hello everyone, I juat felt the need to share a little something with you.

Hubby and I had to make a little stop at Ace Hardware on the way home from Office Depot. We were in search of some #8 shipping tags. (If any of you know where to get a  good deal on them please contact me ok?)
Anyway, I was just looking around while hubby went to get what he was after and low and behold there was a craft area chunked full of scrapbooking goodies. I couldn't believe it! I thought I was in scrapbook heaven. It  was what they call "the dollar section".

So I collected myself and with loving care, made my purchases. When I finally finished and returned to the checkout, where hubby was patiently waiting for me, I was quite content in knowing that my item would be a dollar each. But nooooo. They actually turned out to be fifty cents each!

With hubby still waiting for me and not saying a word (he's such a sweetie), I went back and got more.
This is what I got. I am still learning the upload process and I hope this article comes before the photos but if not it's ok.
  Satin ribbon/ qnty: 2 pks
Embossed stickkers/ 4pks

Wooden buttons/5pks
Forever In Time stickers/7 pks
3D stickers w/glitter/ 9pks

This is the end of my haul from Ace Hardware. Excuse me while I go to my studio and get Scrappin!
Til the next time....Be Blessed!

Inside Pages of Kayas Birthday Mini

Hi guys, I  wanted this to come before the photos but I'm  satisfied with it  being right where it is for now.

I promised to have some photos of the inside of my grandaugher Kayas mini. And for those of you that didn't get a chance to see it I have added it in with these photos. I hope you like them.

I tried to put some of the things that she loves onto the pages. She loves zebras, hightop converses, butterflies and the color purple.

She also loves scrapbook papers and fell head over heels for the K & Company Confetti collection. When she saw the paper she had no idea that she had a birthday mini coming. She wanted to take it home and it broke my heart to tell her that she couldn't. But, she got it anyway in her mini. I gave her the remainder of the kit though and she was happy!

So please let me know what you think. Post a comment or email me. I would love to hear from you.

Until the next time, be blessed.  Deb

The Leaning Process

I haven't been blogging long but, for the short time that I have it's been a interesting and fun experience.

One of my main passions is to create mini albums. I have been making minis for quite a while but, it wasn't until I started waatching Youtube that I discovere the paperbag mini. I have been totally hooked every since.

One of the main things that I would love to be able to do is show you guys some of my work. The problem is that I first have to learn how to do it. So, now is the time that I am going to attempt to do just that.

My grandaughter Kaya just turned thirteen and I made her a beautiful mini of purple and pink. Two of her favorite colors. She has been a scrapper since she was about seven. She is one of my worst critics and the source of a lot of my inspiration.

So, I am going to try and show you her mini. Wish me luck!

Ready, Set, Ship

Well, I finally finished my tags for the October tag swap hosted by Velma. (creativelyouttacontrol)

My next step is to get them to the post office and on their way. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to participate in this swap. It has been a totally new experience for me and a most pleasurable one too.

I would like to thank Velma for doing this and being a most gracious and caring hostess. She really made the experience easy and a lot of fun. Especially for a first timer like myself.

Now it's back to finish the two minis I was working on. I really love making minis a lot. I am most fond of paper bag minis at the moment.

I hope everyone that took part in this swap had as much fun as I did. So in the meantime, keep scrappin!

Im so Excited

I am so excited because I am participating in my first ever tag swap!

I can't wait to see the creations that the other girls have made and for tthem to see my work. This tag swap is being hosted by Velma.(creativelyouttacontrol) and I am truly happy to have been invited to take part in it.

I have been working on my tags every chance that I get and I am almost done with them. Am very pleased with the way they are turning out. I am pretty sure that I will make the deadline. It is very important that deadlines are met.

Just thought I would drop that little tidbit. Back to the tags. So long for now.
