ALTERED TICKETS INSPIRED BY ARTOFCRAFTNZ

I came across a video by ArtofcraftNZ that showed how she designed  tickets inspired by the Tim Holtz altered ticket die and wow, was I amazed! I wanted to try it immediately but, I had one tiny little problem.

I didn't own the Tim Holtz Alterations Ticket Die nor, did I have the funds to just run out to Betty's (my local stamping and scrapbooking store) to buy it. What was I to do? I really really wanted to have some fun with theses tickets. I had to figure out a way to find a solution to my problem. And I did.

I turned to my Ecraft die cutting machine! I scanned my software and found the copy of a ticket. I took measurements of a ticket that I had when I bought a pack of them from the Dollar Store. I copied and pasted five of them and used the weld function on the Ecraft to join them all together. Loaded in my cardstock and pressed CUT.

I used manilla cardstock and recycled file folders

On some I used Glossy Accents.

No problem finding stamps I could use.

Some tickets stamped on the back.

Took small tags and enlarged them.

My Ecraft by Craftwell
I stood frozen and watched as my Ecraft did her thing. It only took seconds for those five welded tickets to come out cut perfectly into one strip. I was a happy camper! So I cut more and here are the some of the results. Enjoy and please leave a comment and subscribe. Thanx a Bunch!

LOVE SOME DYAN REAVELEY AND TIM HOLTZ

Fern leaves from one of my old foam stamps.

Design features Ms Reaveley's and Mr. Holts's stamps.

Flower created by me using Martha Stewart scoreboard and  construction  paper.

She's a cutie!

During my healing time from neck surgery, I watched a lot of very talented people on Youtube. Some my all time faves and some delightful new comers.

Some videos I have been totally inspired by have been from Dyan Reaveley, ArtofcraftNZ, Lablanche, Penny Black and of course, Tim Holtz.

In case you all didn't know this about me, I am somewhat addicted to rubber stamps. I am always checking to see what's new and I purchase them whenever I can. (Thank you Betty and Eric of Betty's Stamping and Scrapbooking Room for feeding my addiction whenever I need a fix :)xoxo.

At the moment my drugs of choice are Dyan Reaveley and Tim Holtz stamps, products and techniques. And these people have such delightfully wonderful personalities too.

So, now I would like to take this time to show you all some of the projects that I have  been working on using some of their products and techniques. Enjoy and your comments and subscriptions are most welcome. Thanks!

Lots of Martha Stewart Glitter on this tag.

Altered ticket design inspired by ArtofcraftNZ

Backside of tag. Tag measures 5 1/8 x 10 1/2. Thanx Tim!

Beautiful fibers and butterfly charm from a RAK I received from  my  friend Velma. Thanx Vel.

USE MORE CONSTRUCTION PAPER

I have noticed that we use lots of different type papers on our scrapbooking projects. From mini albums to the embellishments that we use in and on them.

There is Vellum, cardstock, metallics, patterned and much much more. But, as I was trying to get a little organizing done in my studio one day, I came across a small stack of construction paper that needed to be sorted and put away. And that's when it hit me. I never see anyone using it. Construction paper that is. I thought long and hard trying to remember if I had seen any of this paper used in the videos I watch on You Tube and for the life of me I couldn't think of one that had.

I couldn't help but wonder why. Why don't we use this paper? Is it unattractive? Is it because we think it's just for kids to use? Why? It was at that moment I decided to take matters into my own hands and MAKE SOMETHING! Yes, make something and incorporate it into one of my projects.

These are the little gems I came up with. I hope you like them and that you too might add construction paper to your list  of materials when you  start to create something beautiful. :)

To My Dear Fellow Bloggers

To my dear fellow bloggers. I have some new project and other things to share with you but, due to my recent neck surgery it's been difficult to do much of anything. Especially to use my laptop.

But, I am healing slowly but surely. Three more weeks of wearing this neck brace and then a test to see how strong the muscles in my neck are. I am looking for a full recovery. Keep me in your prayers and thank you all for all your sweet comments and subscriptions.

Will keep in touch and again thank you so much! Hugs De

FUN AND FLOWERS WITH MY ECRAFT DIE CUTTING MACHINE

For a long time now I have been wanting and wondering what I would do if I had a die cutting machine. I have seen so many Cricket infomercials I could probably do one myself. Not to mention craft days on HSN. It was during one of those airings that I decided I wanted one too.

So when then next scrapbook airing came up I missed the portion about the new Cricket mini but, what I did catch was the segment on the new Ecraft machine. I fell in love! No no no, I did not just jump right in and get one. I did research, I read customer reviews, I watched videos about it on Youtube and gave my findings a lot of thought. I was satisfied. My hubby said yes. And then I ordered it. In HOT PINK!

I'm learning by trial and error. But for the most part I am having a blast as I go along. I have been watching Youtube at all the beautiful things you ladies are doing  everyday. One of them are the flowers you make. From the Velma Flower to the die cut flowers and lots of flowers in between. So I thought I would give it a try.

Here are some of the flowers that I made using my Ecraft machine and Tim Holtz alterations floral die. Hope you like them!
